10 Best Debut Albums

What I meant with 'debut album' is the very first recording album made by any of the musicians involved in it. That's why I didn't put The Good, The Bad & The Queen's self-titled album and Thom Yorke's The Eraser, cause everybody knows it's not their 'first' album. Well, you get the idea, right? :D

But still there are chances that I didn't get the information right, so I won't say that I'm 100% sure that these albums below are the artists' first album. I hope they are though. :D

Please bear in mind that this list is based on my personal taste and opinion. :)

10 Best Debut Albums :

10. Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes

9. Songs In A Minor - Alicia Keys

8. Fractured Life - Air Traffic

7. Please Please Me - The Beatles

6. Songs About Jane - Maroon 5

5. Weezer (Blue Album) - Weezer

4. Word Gets Around - Stereophonics

3. Funeral - Arcade Fire

2. Turn On The Bright Lights - Interpol

1. Parachutes - Coldplay

Honorable mentions :

Hopes and Fears - Keane
Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not - Arctic Monkeys
K - Kula Shaker
Whoa, Nelly! - Nelly Furtado
Pablo Honey - Radiohead
Inside In Inside Out - The Kooks
The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill - Lauryn Hill
Is This It - The Strokes
Fur and Gold - Bat For Lashes
The Back Room - Editors
Grace - Jeff Buckley
Hot Fuss - The Killers

There is no Leisure (Blur's debut album) on the list. Yes, I'm aware of that. :D It's just that I think Leisure is a good album, but NOT that good to be on "the best" list. And the same goes for Muse's Showbiz, and Travis' Good Feeling.

Below are some great debut albums (or so I heard and read) that I haven't listened to yet and would love to listen to. I especially very interested in The Stone Roses and The Velvet Underground.

Debut albums that I'd love to have a listen :

The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses
Asleep In The Back - Elbow
The Velvet Underground & Nico - The Velvet Underground
Mellow Gold - Beck
Fever To Tell - Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Murmur - REM

That's my 10 Best Debut Albums.
Do you agree or disagree?
Do you have your own list?
Do you have a recommendation on any other debut albums?
I'd really like to know. So please don't hesitate to tell me and everyone what's in your mind. :)
